Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH W. TRAGER After a long struggle with cancer, Joseph W. Trager died peacefully at home on November 20, 2005. He was born in Winnipeg on April 11, 1914. He had a successful career in the printing trade both in Winnipeg (Canadian Publishers, Universal Printers) and in the United States (Metropolitan Press, Portland, OR) where he spent 18 years (1956 to 1974). He was preceded in death by wives, Margaret (nee Kingsmill), 1936 to 1975 and Mary (nee Kingsmill), 1976 to 1991. Many happy hours of his retirement years were spent on the golf course and in visiting his family in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. Joe is survived by his dear friend and companion, Ada Holtman, son Bill of Seattle, daughter Linda Diffely of Portland, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and sister Anne Emslie of Winnipeg. The family would especially like to thank all the people of the WRHA palliative care program for the boundless compassion, concern and comfort they provided Joe in his hours of greatest need. All Manitobans can be rightfully proud.
